M & M Technical Services, INC. provided systems engineering services to Department of Defense (DOD).

Defense Message System

M & M Technical Services, INC. provided system engineering support for DMS. We provided strategic planning, business case analysis, and technical trade off studies for the DMS program.  M & M Technical Services, INC. defined the requirements and created the design documents to develop the Detailed Design Tool (DDT), which automated the process of creating DMS design documents.  We developed the DDT prototype ahead of schedule and below cost with functional capabilities that exceeded the requirements.  We were responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the DDT. We maintained a PTR database and collected development metrics that were used to optimize the development process.  Our software development process adheres to SEI CMM level 4 standards.  We undergo the same rigorous design and quality assurance processes and audits as defined by Lockheed Martin’s internal ISO 9000 standard.

Since the successful implementation of the DDT, M & M Technical Services, INC. developed several extract and integration tools to integrate the DDT with other DMS tools in the Oracle/UNIX environment.  In addition, we converted the DDT into a WEB based system with IIS 5.0, Active Server Pages (ASP) and SQL Server 7.0.  We provided Senior System Architecture and Engineering support for the development and implementation of the Defense Message System (DMS) Release 3.0.  Duties included developing the DMS Release 3.0 Master Test Plan, conducting performance analysis tests on Message Transfer Agents, analyzing the impact of DHCP and DNS in a DMS environment and providing other system architecture/engineering services.
