Minimum/General Experience: Eight to ten years experience depending on education. System Engineer independently performs unusually complex network engineering tasks for management and/or the customer involving application of advanced engineering principles, theories and technical concepts which require extensive scientific/engineering knowledge, experience and ingenuity.
Functional Responsibility: Typically performs as a project lead on advanced projects. Provides technical expertise in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of various state-of-the-art computer systems to resolve complex problems in the areas of office automation, telecommunication and systems integration. Conducts the planning, configuration control, installation and maintenance of computer system related hardware and software applications in standalone, LAN/WAN and telecommunication network environments. Evaluates operational systems and recommendations of design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree and ten years experience or a Master's degree and eight years experience.
